Our work in High Schools
CYM has been working in local high schools in Ipswich for nearly 30 years, encouraging and supporting young people in their exploration of faith, through the provision of Christians Unions, delivery of lessons, and assemblies that explore life and moral issues from a Christian perspective.
We currently offer lessons on the following;
- Jesus – who He is and why Christians believe he died and rose again
- Prayer
- Testimonies of a Christian viewpoint and lifestyle.
- Sex, relationships and marriage from a Christian perspective
- Matters of life and death
(Other topics can be arranged on request.)
We have delivered assemblies on a range of topics including most recently, courage, stress, faith, and being aware of what we put into our lives.
We are also happy to come in as a panel of Christians to be asked questions about our faith – this has been particularly useful for Yr 11 classes for revision.
